Christopher A. Croisdale brings more than four decades of hands-on construction experience to forensic investigation, construction consulting and expert witness assignments. A licensed California General Contractor since 1988, his background encompasses residential, commercial and industrial construction, complex structural and foundation work, property development, restoration and construction-related dispute analysis.

His consulting and expert work includes construction defect forensics, contractor standard of care, means and methods, construction-related causation, plan and specification deviation analysis, property damage, scope and cost of repair, insurance losses, construction delay analysis, personal injury and premises matters, appraisals, rebuttal analysis, and deposition, arbitration and trial testimony.

In complex matters, Croisdale also serves as the lead construction expert coordinating specialty professionals, including structural, civil and geotechnical engineers, hygienists, mitigation contractors and specialty trades, integrating their independent technical findings into the broader construction analysis.

Daniel Michael Hughes is a licensed California General Contractor with more than a decade of hands-on field experience across residential construction and multiple building trades. His background includes concrete and foundations, structural framing, roofing, windows and doors, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, drywall, plaster, insulation, painting and flooring.

His work with The Croisdale Group focuses on forensic construction investigation, construction defect evaluation, property damage assessment, development of repair scopes and cost-of-repair analysis. He has experience evaluating fire, smoke, water, structural and vehicle-impact losses and preparing detailed construction estimates utilizing Xactimate.

Daniel's extensive field background provides practical insight into how damaged or defective construction can be accessed, repaired and reasonably estimated—particularly in matters requiring detailed documentation of existing conditions and development of a defensible repair scope and cost.

Christopher A. Croisdale began his construction career while serving in the United States Air Force, entering military service in 1982 and beginning Civil Engineering operations in 1983. His work specialized in pavement maintenance, foundations and structural concrete, and heavy equipment operations.

In 1988, Mr. Croisdale obtained his California Concrete Contractor license and began operating his construction business, later establishing The Croisdale Group, Inc. Early work focused on foundations, pavements, patios, retaining walls and specialized foundation repairs on hillside and expansive-soil conditions.

General contracting and new home construction

GENERAL CONTRACTING

In 1990, Mr. Croisdale obtained his California General Contractor license, expanding his work into residential remodeling, room additions and the construction of new homes.

Northridge earthquake damage

EARTHQUAKE

Following the 1994 Northridge earthquake, Mr. Croisdale repaired homes with a wide variety of damage. These projects required coordination with structural engineers and included detailed site investigations of both defects and damages, distinguishing causes and developing practical repair solutions.

Commercial development

DEVELOPMENT

By approximately 1999, his experience expanded into real estate development, beginning with a 25-home subdivision in the San Fernando Valley, followed by a 64,000 SF commercial building on 12 acres, multiple office buildings, and a 15-story high-rise office building in Reno, Nevada.

Mr. Croisdale serves as the principal construction consultant to a multi-faceted international company with over 1,000 restaurant locations, providing independent review and guidance on structural damage, significant maintenance and repair issues, construction-related concerns, and property damage involving vehicle impacts, water losses, fires and other insurance-related claims.
